Backing into a parking spot is miserable for some people.
Luckily, some vehicles are integrated with parking assist to make parallel parking and rear parking incredibly easy. Having a family can make parking even tougher since you can never be sure if you’re about to back over your kid’s favorite toy. With these five vehicles, parking becomes a breeze.
2016 Honda CRV
The CRV is one of the best-selling SUVs for Honda, and it comes with a great manual parking assist. As you backup, a rear-view camera appears and directs you, telling you when to turn the wheel left, right, or when to straighten out. Additionally, it’ll signal when you’re getting too close to the vehicle behind you. Other features in the Honda CRV include lane departure warnings, forward collision warnings, seating for five, and 70.9 cubic feet of cargo space. For fuel economy, the SUV has an estimated 23 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway and starts with an MSRP of $23,845.
2017 Toyota Sienna
The Sienna has been a great family vehicle for years thanks to its numerous safety features including easy driver speak, blind spot monitor, and the Star Safety System—which includes enhanced vehicle stability control, traction control, anti-lock brake system, and more. The parking assist system in the Sienna offers a standard backup camera along with parking assist sonars that notify you when you’re too close to the car in front of you and displays a color graphic that changes as you draw closer to the vehicle. The Sienna gets 19 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway and has a starting MSRP of $29,750.
2017 Ford Explorer

Starting with an MSRP of $31,160, it comes with great features such as lane-keeping systems, hands-free, foot-activated liftgate, and SYNC 3. Where the Explorer really shines is its enhanced active park assist. It uses ultrasonic systems to help you in various parking situations. All you have to do is shift, accelerate, and brake whether you’re backing up, pulling in, or parallel parking. With the Explorer, you can get an estimated 17 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway.
2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
This truck is the ultimate family vehicle even though it doesn’t seat six. The Silverado allows you to throw your kids’ supplies in the back, drive them to practice, or move into your next home. On top of impressive features like wireless charging, and 4G LTE Wi-Fi, the Silverado also has numerous safety features such as lane keep assist, side blind zone alert, and forward collision alerts. The parking assist comes with a rear vision camera and rear cross-traffic alerts so you don’t back into someone while in reverse. The Silverado gets 15 mpg in the city and 21 mpg on the highway and has a starting MSRP of $35,935.
2016 GMC Terrain
The GMC Terrain is a sleek SUV that starts with an MSRP of $28,750 and gets an estimated 22 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway.
